To ensure you meet the legal requirements of CoSHH, our engineers will carry out a thorough examination and testing of your local exhaust ventilation Systems (LEV)
CoSHH regulation 9, (the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations) requires that any measures taken to provide effective control through the use of Local Exhaust Ventilation (dust or fume extraction equipment) must be maintained in effective working order and also in good repair.
ALL FUME CUPBOARDS, LEV'S REQUIRE INSPECTION EVERY 14 MONTHS
It’s a popular misconception amongst employees and employers that fume cupboards and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system must be maintained, examined and tested by the original supplier of that equipment. This service and inspection can be provided by us, in many cases far more cost effectively and efficiently as we are an independent specialist.
On completion of our visit we will issue a validation report which will clearly indicate if the system is suitable for Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work. (HSG258)
If the system was to fail our inspection, we will report on our findings and offer a means of remediation.
We carry out this work, unlike many other inspection engineers and insurance companies whom do not have the competency.
